I hope you are having a great week and staying warm!! It has been SO cold in Atlanta making it quite clear that winter has arrived! It is almost time for me to head back to the Cape for the holidays and I am counting the days (5 more until I leave to be exact!!)
I am going to try and start a new series in the up and coming year, displaying some of my work using “Before and After” images so I can share the transformations with you! We are starting off with a good one!
This is a small house in Atlanta that I helped select all the finishes and colors for (both interior and exterior). All of the contracting was completed by Penner Graff custom homes and it is currently on the market. I think these B&A’s really show how you can revitalize a home into something spectacular!
The original exterior would have been easy to pass by, where the revamped new elevation is sure to draw your attention! The raised gabled roof, board and batten style paneling over the porch, painted brick and fresh color palette give this exterior a fresh new look!
The living room and main home entrance was dreary and small. A bright color palette and addition of a bedroom access really helps make the space feel inviting.
The brick wall was actually the end of the house – now it is a great accent in the addition of the Master Bath! Simple details, such as framing a plate mirror and unifying the frame with the transom trim allows a small space to feel unique. Overall, the neutral palette and timeless elements (like the subway tile used in the shower) will allow this bath to stand out for a long time!
The new clean lines of the shaker cabinetry and color palette that is unified with the rest of the house, really allow this once bleak kitchen to be appealing and full of light!
What do you think?
Enjoy your day!
