Dreaming of Blue and White…

Hello 🙂

Well, we had quite the cold stormy weekend here in Atlanta.  This bout of chilly weather has created wishes for sunny skies and the sea! I think it’s time for me to get a vacation on my schedule, it probably won’t be Greece, but maybe someday! For now, I’ll be dreaming away ….

Honeysuckle Hue…..

Howdy Friends!

It’s official, the year is almost over, winter has arrived, and the forecasts and trends for 2011 are starting to roll out! I love color forecasting and I anxiously await for when the leading color expert Pantone releases the “color of the year.”  The concept of color forecasting has always been fascinating to me – honing in on what is happening in the world and where we are headed.

2010 was filled with the serene color Turquoise, a soothing and calming escape.  2011 is headed in a bolder direction… Honeysuckle!
“Courageous. Confident. Vital. A brave new color, for a brave new world. Let the bold spirit of Honeysuckle infuse you, lift you and carry you through the year. It’s a color for every day – with nothing “everyday” about it….”

Lead color forecaster, Leatrice Eisman, states:

“In times of stress, we need something to lift our spirits. Honeysuckle is a captivating, stimulating color that gets the adrenaline going – perfect to ward off the blues. Honeysuckle derives its positive qualities from a powerful bond to its mother color red, the most physical, viscerally alive hue in the spectrum.

The intensity of this festive reddish pink allures and engages. In fact, this color, not the sweet fragrance of the flower blossoms for which it was named, is what attracts hummingbirds to nectar. Honeysuckle may also bring a wave of nostalgia for its associated delicious scent reminiscent of the carefree days of spring and summer.”

So are you ready for the boldness that Honeysuckle brings? I think I may enjoy it more as an accent rather than a main color, but I am all for it!

Enjoy your day!
