Good Morning and Happy Monday!
Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! It was BEAUTIFUL here in Atlanta and it actually started to feel like spring! As always, the weekend went by too fast, but I did manage to a lot done, which included a fun Saturday stroll at a local Antique shop where I found some cool things (visit our facebook page for some images!).
Whether shopping at a antique market or flipping through design images, I always like to look out for the unexpected items that could be overlooked. A design element that I think is always just expected, is a mirror over a bathroom sink. I love the twist of nixing a solid wall and putting a window over a sink. It seems like a given to have a window over your kitchen sink, and many of the best kitchen designs include that, why not share the concept in baths? I know I would enjoy a stunning view outside in the morning …. now that’s a great way to start the day!
For functional purposes, a mirror is still probably necessary, but I don’t believe it has to be the focal point.
A few ideas:
– Install a swing arm or extension style mirror on a side wall. Perfect scale and function to be used only when you need it!
– Have a small stand mirror located on the counter
– If you have more than one window, hang a small decorative mirror on the center rail.
– Nix the mirror and enjoy the view!

One thing I love about all these images is the fresh feeling of natural light. Now that is a quality that can’t be overlooked.
What do you think?
Hope you all Enjoy your week!
